With Chinese New Year and then Valentine\u2019s Day hot on its heels, February has been a month-long celebration of family and friendship. It\u2019s fitting, then, that in this month\u2019s update, we celebrate the family ties and friendships within our small groups in Jesus Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: How long have you been in the small group together?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2021!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2060Q: Share 1 thing about someone in your small group that you love about him\/her.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love how Guang (3rd from right) has grown so much in knowing about God, and is able to remember the details of the Bible so well. He is always so excited to meet us too and it\u2019s been such a joy to be around him!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: What are some fun things you’ve done together outside the JC meeting?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We gather mainly for meals to celebrate special occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: How have you helped each other grow as Christians?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we try our best to teach our members God\u2019s Word through pictures and activities, they have also taught us what it means to have child-like faith. From how the caregivers care for their adult children, we\u2019re also given a picture of God\u2019s unceasing love for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: How long have you been in Jesus Club?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tony & Roy: 7 months<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2060Q: Share 1 thing about someone in your small group that you love about him\/her.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tony: I love to play games with Augustus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roy: Kim Heng. He is kind and he picks me up and sends me home every session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kim Heng, a volunteer, then chipped in!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kim Heng: I\u2019m encouraged by Roy\u2019s presence in each session and in social outings. Though he doesn\u2019t communicate much, being unable to express himself well, he would unassumingly be present. He also helps occasionally in the physical setup for each session by arranging the tables and chairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: What are some fun things you\u2019ve done together outside the JC meeting?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tony: We spent time at Bishan Park. We walked and played games there and ate McDonald\u2019s together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roy: Bowling<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: What do you share about in your small group time?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roy: God always keeps His promises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: How have you helped each other grow as Christians?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tony: We love each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: How long have you been in the small group together?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For about a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2060Q: What are some highlights from your time together as a small group?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sibyl and I had the privilege of attending Alex\u2019s baptism. And the joy of praying with Benjamin (a new member) to receive Christ on 13\/9\/23! Alex and Wei Keong were very supportive and also prayed together with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: What are some fun things you’ve done together outside the JC meeting?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We celebrated Alex\u2019s birthday together. There was also a photography class organised by my daughter\u2019s dance group, and Chris attended the course with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: How have you helped each other grow as Christians?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We share prayer requests in our small group chat, and we pray for one another. I also remind them of what we learn at JC, and we encourage one another to live it out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
